deKay's Gaming Diary
Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude
I'd played an hour or two of this filthy, shallow, repetitive, addictive Xbox game before Christmas, and decided to make it my next game (after Paper Mario 2) to play. It's, er, a little different to Paper Mario 2 as well.
Chatted up Ione for a bit, and found the cognac she was after (a drunk hip-hop tramp had it, of course), and played quarters with her. As you do. Beat her, but she wasn't up for much "more", so I wandered round campus a bit. Spoke to some other woman outside, and played quarters with her too, and beat her. Then she went and hid somewhere.
Bought some unlockables from the library too. Computer generated nudity isn't really as great as you might think.
Mr Driller: Drill Spirits
985m! Gah! SMASH SMASH SMASH!!
Paper Mario 2: THE ENDED
I must be on a roll this weekend! Once Gloomtail was out of the way, I did wonder if Paper Mario 2 was going to suffer from The SuckySuck(TM) bit that many games do; namely, recycle all of the bosses one after another before the end boss (see Feel the Magic, Viewtiful Joe, etc.). Luckily, it didn't.
Between Gloomtail and the end, there was a fairly long puzzley bit, and then it was muliple-boss time. Grodus, Bowser, Kammi, and then [spoiler]. And then the longest end of game sequence EVAAR. But it was best, and so am I. Obviously.
Mr Driller: Drill Spirits
Mr Driller: Drill Spirits
HAHA! 800m, consider yourseilf PWNED. I used a stack of items though, so it probably doesn't count. But I don't care as it's the closest I'm going to get, I expect. Unlocked Holinger-Z (who is "zed", not "zee" - hurrah for the correct pronunciation of letters!) and had a go of 1000m with him. No chance. Ever.
Then my batteries died. Which is, of course, the real reason I failed to do 1000m. Yes.
Mr Driller: Drill Spirits
With Zoo Keeper now le completé, I went back to Mr Driller. It is TOO HARD. FACT.
I can't do 800m for the life of me, even with extra items. 400m down and I'm dead. Or less. How I'll ever manage 2000m is beyond me.
Zoo Keeper: COMPAMAPLETED!!
And I didn't even know you could complete it! It turns out there are only 20 levels in the main game, and once you finish them, you win. There then follows a slightly disturbing end of game sequence, involving love, death, children, animals, and the dark decent into overpowering insanity. No, really. It's like, deep, man.
Paper Mario 2
Cripes. 8 puzzle rooms in one building? The "clues" don't really help either, but luckily one or two are obvious, and the others are made easier by Goombella effectively telling you exactly what to do. Thank god for that, eh?
After that, it's on to another bit of Shadow Castle thingie, and Gloomtail. Who killed me, as I forgot to heal up before opening a door. Ooops.
Zoo Keeper
Played "standard" mode for a while, and managed 7th on the hiscore table. Once again I ran out of time because there was only one possible move and I couldn't see it. Grr.
Paper Mario 2
I thought the Moon was the last chapter, but I was wrong. Obviously, the Thousand Year Door would be, and this appears to be the case, but I didn't think it would be such a large level! I was expecting a boss and that'd be it. But no.
Zoo Keeper
Tokoton MASTER! Well, not quite. I managed 5th on the score table, after jumping from 9th to 6th in about twelve seconds. I was only a few points from 4th as well, which was a pain.
Paper Mario 2
So General White wasn't as hard to find as it appeared. It made the trek around the entire world even more pointless though, as you'll find out if you play it. Anyhoo - TO THE MOON!
And on the Moon, there are lots of baddies. And the gravity makes you walk slow, and jump fast (and high). Found the base on the Moon where Peach's sections take place, and there are quite a few puzzles to solve. And one of them grabbing-crane thingies. Best!
Zoo Keeper
Managed a whopping FIFTH on the main game hiscore table today. I'm not sure I'll be able to make the top though - the game doesn't give you enough time!
Played Time Attack mode too, but didn't do as well there. Got about 9th on that mode's table.
Paper Mario 2
I hate tedious fetch quests. Especially when you're not actually fetching anything! I found Goldbob (I realised I knew who it was), and then went back to Fahr Outpost. Now I needed to find General White, and so spent an hour going to every town I'd visited over the course of the game looking for him. And guess what? He's not in any of them! But you have to go to all of them anyway!
Paper Mario 2
After wandering aimlessly in the sewers looking for the Ultra-hammer, I went back to Rogueport Square, and it became obvious where it was. So, picking up that, I went back down the sewers, and made my way to Fahr Outpost. Went up a couple more levels, and boosted my Badge Points. I have so many badges now, I look like Ace from Dr. Who.
I now have to find General White and Goldbob. Whoever, and wherever they are. No-one mentions them, and a bit of grafitti says that General White is also looking for Goldbob. Where the heck am I supposed to go?
Zoo Keeper
Quest mode is too hard. FACT. I've had a few attempts at it, and I've managed a whopping 555 points - which, considering 10th place on the hiscore table is 1000, is pants.
I do well in several of the challenges, and then get one where I completely mess up, and I lose almost all my points. Boo.
If you don't have a DS, but want to play this ace game, you could always try this link.
Zoo Keeper
The DS version of this arrived today, and it's one of those games that glues itself to your hand. I had a quick go, which was an hour long! Played "normal" mode for a bit, then had a go at "Tokoton" mode, and lasted more than 30 minutes. I thought I'd done great, but only came 7th on the hiscore table. Played Time Attack mode then, and managed to come 6th.
It's even better than I thought it was going to be, and is ideal for the DS's stylus. Oh, and it has cute squarical animals in it, which is always a bonus.
Paper Mario 2
Flew through another chapter today. Completed everything to be done on the train (and the train station en route), and fought the Smoog boss at the end. Bobbery's blow-up-everything move was more than handy.
Finally got to Poshley Heights, where getting the Crystal Star was incredibly easy. Picked up a badge that made me dress as Luigi too. So, with the chapter finished, I did the Peach and Bowser sections, and set off under Rogueport to find a hammer. Got a few shines along the way too, and picked a couple of items up from the tree where the Punies live as well. No Ultra-hammer yet though.
Paper Mario 2
Whew! A bit of a marathon session on this today. I really want to complete it soon; not because it isn't any good, far from it, but because I have stacks of other games to play and I'm trying not to have too many "on the go" at once.
I got the "turn into a boat" ability, as suspected, and then went off and defeated Cortez at the end of the Pirate's cave. He was actually pretty hard, with his four swords and stuff, and the fact he can heal himself by eating the audience! That done, I had another boss battle before finally completing the chapter properly, and did the usual Peach and Bowser bits. I'm slightly alarmed at the amount of time Peach spends undressed in this game too.
Back at Rogueport, I had a few subquests to go on (one of which allowed me to put my partners up another level), and had to return to the island to fetch some Piantas. I'm now into Chapter 6, which is some kind of Murder on the Orient Express skit. Bizarre.
Mario 64DS
Just a quick play on this today. Got another star (by getting red coins from all the Boos in the courtyard), and caught three more rabbits to unlock some more mini-games. Played them for a while too. The shell-smacking one is ace.
Paper Mario 2
Went back to this for a couple more hours. I've done a few errands on the island, and gone up about three levels now. I'm mostly putting badge points up when I level-up, as these seem to be the most important things at the moment, not least that there are a few ice-based attacked they give you - useful against the fire-based baddies on the island! I also have another member in my party too, who has a couple of nifty moves.
Solved a puzzle to get in a cave, although it was blatently obvious what you had to do. Also blatently obvious is who one of the ship crew actually is, especially since he practically tells you twice. Anyway, went through what seems to be most of the cave, and killed a load of things and solved another small puzzle. Looks like I'll be getting the "turn into a boat" ability soon too, since I keep seeing the panels you have to stand on to do it, and also there are a few things in the water I can't reach yet, but need...
Paper Mario 2
Finally completed the whole of Chapter 4 today. Had to kill the baddie-with-no-name again, after finding out what his name was. It was bizarre, as since everyone thinks he's you, your partners are on his team, so you have to deal with them too. And you have a baddie on your team, just to make things even more upside-down.
After that, I wandered round Rogueport for a bit, "upgraded" two of my partners, and found out where I had to go next - an island somewhere. I then had to find the owner of the ship at the harbour, and find (and convince) a navigator to come with us. Caught up with Luigi and his "hilarious" tales too, before setting sail. En route, a [spoiler] happens. As you'd expect, really. Anyway, killed a few things on the island and explored a bit before turning it off.
Atari Anthology
Played this for the first time today. It's a collection of some 65 or so Atari 2600 games, and 15 or so Atari arcade games. The bizarre side-effect of this, is that there are two versions of many games (such as Pong, Battlezone and Asteroids). Anyway, I played Adventure (and completed it on Level 2) mainly to see if I could remember the routes through the mazes. I could, but I seemed to be far crapper at the game than I recall.
I had a go on the arcade version of Lunar Lander then, which is hard as your ship is minute on the screen and you can't tell which way you're pointing. At least, not until you get nearer the ground and the screen "zooms in", to show you hurtling towards a crag nose-first.
After trying a few others (including the garishly coloured, painful on the eyes arcade version of Missile Command, and the impossible to control with a stick Breakout), and watching some of the chopped up Nolan Bushnell interviews, I'm mildly impressed. It doesn't have as many great games as Activision Anthology (which had Frostbite, Pitfall and Keystone Kapers), but it's a decent collection nonetheless.
Paper Mario 2
Despite trying 21534562 times yesterday, it seems the Star Statue inside the Creepy Steeple does actually move if you push it. Ho hum. Wandered through the "level", and reached the boss, who was unnervingly easy to kill. I mean, REALLY easy. Then [a thing that is a spoiler happened] and I took control of [spoiler], who turned out to actually be [spoiler]. Bizarre. Went back to Twilight Town, where I met [er, spoiler], but couldn't kill him. Luckily, he couldn't kill me either, and his hint of "You'd best not try and run away!" was Paper Mario 2-speak for "Actually, do run away!", so I did. Now I'm looking for a Super Bobbombbomb or something. I think. And trying to find out what [spoiler]'s name is. No, it isn't [spoiler].
I've just stumbled across a flaw in writing a Gaming Diary. Can you guess what it might be?
Anarchy Online
Logged in as my new character at first, to see if any ugv* bods were about. And they weren't, the skivers. Inflicted Random Acts of Kindness (+20 Max HP) on some low level players. Only got one "thanks". Some ungrateful sod even said "I don't want that, I want credits!". Sadly, I couldn't shoot him.
After a bit, I logged in again as Chutney, and soloed the Subway for a bit. I can kill not one, but TWO Shadows now, without problems. Excellent. Nathan "cowmang" Cow-Feeler appeared in the game later, and is wandering around n00b island as I type. I bet he's crap.
City of Heroes
I'm in the beta programme for this MMORPG, although I don't know why - Anarchy Online is about as much as I can realistically handle at the moment. Spent a while setting up my character (whose name I have forgotten already), and then ran about a bit and did some training things. Looks nicer than Anarchy Online, but the controls and interface confuse me.
Paper Mario 2
I appear to be stuck. Although I went down the well, there didn't seem to be anything I could do down there, except push a door forwards and backwards. Goombella says I should "leave it for now", so I wondered if I'd missed anything inside the Creepy Steeple main building. I can't see anything to so, and tried hitting and blowing everything, but nothing happened. I can't see any obvious markings anywhere either. I must have missed something somewhere, I suspect.
Mario 64DS
Had a quick go at catching rabbits to unlock more minigames. I realised that you actually have to catch each rabbit four times, as catching one with Yoshi only unlocks a Yoshi minigame. This could be tedious.
The seven minigames I unlocked are pretty good, but nothing special. There's a pelmanism game, using sounds not pictures, two of those grid-of-squares and touching one inverts it and the surrounding ones type games, which I hate, although most of these are pretty easy. Played each for a bit.
Anarchy Online
Took my new character out for a spin, and spent an hour and some minutes teaming with Los Reverandes from the ugv* groups. We left Newbie Island as it seemed to exist in multiple dimensions, meaning we had to talk Across the Void, but then met up properly in Old Athen. Got a house, and killed lots of Leets and Eleets and stuff. The Rev died a few times, because he isn't as grate as me. Obviously. Then we went shopping together. I didn't hold his hand, although he did ask. And I gave him all my money.
Anarchy Online
For a change, and to see if I could catch up with any of the ugv* n00bs, I created a new character and started again. Decided to be a Soldier this time, and it's a hell of a lot easier! You get a weapon that kills most of the Beach Leets and Island Reets in one hit for a start. And you get a nanoprogram that bumps your Max HP up by 20 for half an hour or so. Got up to Level 3 really quickly. Didn't see any ugv* people though.
Paper Mario 2
I haven't played this for a while (Pikmin 2 got in the way), so had a go this evening. I'm in Twilight Town, and have worked my way to the Creepy Steeple and wandered inside. Of course, you have to go down the well outside, don't you? Had a quick look in there and decided it could wait for another time. Saved and quit for now.
Mario 64DS
Well. I'm "compensating" with the controls. That means I'm still annoyed with them, but I'm only doing levels I absolutely have to, or levels that don't requite such precision. Six lives lost to the first Bowser level then, as it is too hard to use the camera and control Mario at the same time. Managed it in the end, however. I also went and got the first star in Shifting Sand Land, and drained the water from the basement. Caught a rabbit too, who had a key that unlocked another minigame - one that is a variation on another one. From the positioning of the "button" to select this game, it looks like there are something like 64 games in total, of which I have, er, 9. Best get on that then.
Run Baby Run
It's an RZX recording frenzy at the moment, so I've been trying to beat my personal best. I haven't fared to well, sadly, as the pressure of recording my gameplay makes me mess it up. However, I have managed a score of 3146, and here's the RZX to prove it. Weak.
Mr Driller: Drill Spirits
Hurrah! I've managed to do 500m, with Puchi, without any items. Go me! Sadly, 1000m is plainly impossible so I'm off to have a cry whilst my DS recharges.
Run Baby Run: Cold as Ice
I've been honing my skills a little on my new Run Baby Run levels. I'm not sure I've managed to create levels as good as the original (although, I've only had a week to play with the new ones, and twenty years to master the old ones!), but they're all certainly playable. I'm alarmed at how similar Green Acres is to Bolton Gas Works, even though it wasn't intentional. I think it may just play like it, rather than look like it.
You can download it here, and get a decent Spectrum emulator to run it from here.
Mr Driller: Drill Spirits
I'm still stuck on that bloody 500m level. I've tried with Susumu and Puchi, and have managed to get to 476m today, but then I die. My problem, is that I can't figure out how to get air that is surrounded by blocks you can't dig (well, you can dig them, but you lose air doing so). More practice required, I suspect.
Mario 64DS
Still sticking with it, despite the problems I'm having with the controls. Have I mentioned the problems with the controls? They're awful.
Rescued Mario, which has improved things a little. Yoshi just doesn't feel "right" for the game. I've now got 16 Stars, and so went and had a crack at the first Bowser boss. Not that I could even reach him, as the terrible controls make the tricky platform section before him bloody hard. Grr!
Mario 64
No, not 64DS, the proper one. I went back to this for a bit today just to make sure my brain wasn't deceiving me, and well, I was mostly right. The graphics are not as good as I recall, but they're still better than the DS version. The controls are spot-on too.
If only the DS had an analogue stick of some kind...
Mario 64DS: RUBBISH
Oh dear, Nintendo. What have you done? Mario 64 was one of the best games ever created. Better in many ways than Mario Sunshine, even. But this DS port is awful - ruined almost entirely by the dreadful controls. The digital pad is no good for the tight turns and run-speed control required, and the touch screen isn't responsive enough and awkward to use.
Played it for a good two hours today, and it hasn't "clicked" yet. I have 8 stars so far, but have run round much of the castle and open levels. I just can't get into it.
On the plus side, the mini-games are good fun, but ultimately shallow and not worth buying the game for. Oh well.
Mr Driller: Drill Spirits
Had another few goes on this today. It still isn't much easier! Managed to complete 500m, but only because I bought a "one hit shield" item. Having said that, I had a life spare at the bottom so I could have done it. Unlocked Puchi as a result, and completed 300m with him. Also had a go at Pressure Driller mode, which is even more frantic than Mission Driller. Managed to defeat the 200 ton baddie, and nearly got past the 300 ton one, but died. Again.
Pikmin 2: COMPLET0RATED!
But it's not over yet! I finished the cave with the nasty thing on rollers, which was much easier in the end than it seemed. Got a few treasures in there, but not many. I then went back to one of the first caves I'd done, but not got everything in - Hole of Beasts - and completed it. The amount of treasure I got from there was enough to finish the game!
However, after that, you can carry on playing, and it opens another level up. I had a quick go in there, and found it crammed full of nasty baddies. Not nice. I then went on and did a couple of the Challenge Mode levels.
Pikmin 2
Finished up the cave I was in previously, defeating some Breadbugs (which were quite bizarre), and gathering a load more treasure. I have 91% of the debt repaid now. Wandered round Perplexing Pool for a bit, getting more berries and worked my way to another cave, which was in the water.
Now, it says at the cave entrance, that I need some of each type of Pikmin, but that clearly isn't possible as only Blues can get to the cave. Took along 80 Blues, and jumped in. Realised that Blues CAN destroy flame jets (if you time it right), and then a huge watery thing (that looks like Chaos from Sonic Adventure) appeared, on rollers, and promptly flattened all my Pikmin. Tch.
Mr Driller: Drill Spirits
Made a proper start on this DS game today, only to find it really hard. I think I must be missing some gameplay mechanic, as I can't even do the 500m level, let alone the harder ones! I never was very good at the older Mr Driller games either. Haven't tried Pressure Mode yet, but that seems like it'll be even HARDER.
Anarchy Online
Servers are back up, and I've just done a bit more Subway-teaming with two other people. Unfortunately, they were not nearly as good as last night's team, being unable to heal, and dying on me when confronted with an Infector. Tch. At least I got up to Level 15 now, which makes me a "Devotee", apparently.
Anarchy Online
Wandered down to the Subway for a bit, and killed assorted Stim Fiends and Filth Fleas to get a bit of money and XP. Ran over to Old Athen to have a look round, but saw nothing of great interest. Came back to West Athen and bought myself a belt in the shop. I added some Morphing Memory to it, and now I can do more of the things I don't currently do. Or something. Had to finish up early however, as the servers were going down for maintenance.
Anarchy Online
Did some more subway teaming today. Delved very deep into some odd looking place, along with four others, all Level 10 to 14. After an hour or so of killing frighteningly hard baddies (which were much easier teamed!), I was up to Level 14 myself. Said my goodbyes and left then. Got to try that again soon, though - it's the best way to level up, as you don't need to worry about healing with doctors on your team.
Anarchy Online
Yay! Up another level today. And I found a decent second weapon, so I have one in each hand. Killed a few more Shadows today too, as they're a bit easier to bump off now I am TEH 1337 POWAHOUZ. Or not. I joined my first team as well, and went deep into the subway until we got attacked by nasty poisonous thingies. Then my team mates ran away like cowards, leaving me to kill them myself. Which I couldn't do so I ran off. IN GLORY.
Pikmin 2
Just had a quick go, working my way to one of the caves at the back of Perplexing Pool, and grabbing some treasure on the way. Got into a cave, seemingly set in a toy room. I've done three sub-levels so far, and it seems very easy. There's not a lot of treasure to be had yet either.
Pikmin 2
Went back to Perplexing Pool today, and drained a large area of the level. This also provided access to another dungeon, which I went on to complete. There was a boss at the end (as usual) who was tricky to kill (again) until the method of doing so was found. That he was easy. After that, I wandered around Perplexing Pool for a bit, and then got attacked by loads of huge baddies (including the giant spider thing from another cave which just appeared from nowhere) and lost about 40 Pikmin to them. Found a bit of treasure, and rebuilt my Pikmin army then. Up to 78% debt repaid now.
Anarchy Online
Went back to this for an hour or so, and managed to gain another level. Still not powered up enough for my new axe, but slowly getting there. Made a fair bit of money (for someone on level 11!) too, and did a far-too-easy mission.
Anarchy Online
Got myself a bit more money, and then decided to see if I couldn't upgrade some weapons and stuff. And couldn't, as they're all far too expensive. So I decided to try the Trade Skill functions, and make myself a weapon instead.
This involved more than I thought - I needed a recipe, a construction kit, and four items. I managed to combine the first two items, but then found my Computer Literacy wasn't of a high enough level for the next one. Luckily, some helpful person in the shape of a Batmobile combined the last few bits for me. Meijong, I think their name was. Anyway, I have a shiny new axe-that-looks-like-a-sickle, but haven't got the 1337 skillz to wield it yet. Still, it cost me a lot less than one of similar power, so when I go up another couple of levels, I can use it. Probably.
Pikmin 2
Finished the dungeon I was in, racking up to 64% debt repaid in the process. Collected loads of Bulborb Pikmin thingies whilst I was down there too, although when I finished the dungeon, they didn't follow me out. Shame, since they're everything-proof, it seems. Had a bit of a hard time with the boss of the cave; some huge great slug Bulborb Queen thing, that kept spewing mini-Bulborbs out of her arse, and rolling around flattening everything (mostly my Pikmin). She was defeated eventually though.
Not a great record for the day, sadly, with so many dead Pikmin. Made up for it a bit though by growing some 200 more. Also went over to the third level and did a bit of killing and exploring in the water with my Blue Pikmin.
Pikmin 2
Am working my way through another dungeon in the Valley of Repose at the moment. Have found some bulb-baddie thingies with leaves on them that seem to like me, and act like Pikmin. Very bizarre. Just as well I found them too - most of my yellow Pikmin got squashed by another rock-firing baddie, and I needed some electricity-proof Pikmin to get through some of the sublevels. Thankfully, these new allies are electricity immune too!
Anarchy Online
Managed to gain another level today, and a few nice bits of gear too. I took on one of the nasty Reptilian-Xindi-lookalikes (a Shadow) in the subway, who was two levels above me, and won. Loads of XP and a piece of chest armour that knocked my Melee AC up from about 10 to about 55. Which was nice. Killed a Vagrent, which gave me a weapon to go with my Kinetic Axe: a Vintage Red Wine Bottle. PH33R ME!
Pikmin 2
More fun today in the Valley of Repose. Realised I had some more treasures to find above ground, so set off to kill the two big baddies I hadn't yet seen off. One was another rock-firing thingie that killed 10 Pikmin, and the other was a flaming thingie that I couldn't kill with blue Pikmin ('cos it was flaming), and couldn't kill with red fire-proof Pikmin (as I had to cross water to get there). Coaxed the flaming munchy thing to the water, and the fire went out. Finished him off with blue Pikmin. Sadly, the baddie was hungry and chomped down 20 or so of them. Ah well - two more treasures got, and 47%-ish done.
Anarchy Online
I have now become a bit more, as they say in this game, UBER. I've bought myself a cheap healing nanoprogram, which has made things a LOT easier. Until I ran into six Shadows that some guy was fighting. He nearly died, so I healed him. And so they came after me instead. Run away! Managed to get out of the Subway of West Athen with just 3HP left. Phew.
Anarchy Online
Not doing so well on this today. Managed to get myself killed by a Level 5 Filth Flea. I mean, COME ON, that's like banging a shin and losing all my health.
Pikmin 2
Finished what I started last night, and made my way into the Subterranean Complex cave in the Valley of Repose. First few floors were pretty easy, but then I had to kill some floaty things which dropped bombs, and some electric beetle things, and some spidery things, AND get rid of some poison clouds, all in the same three square millimetres. Lost a few Pikmin, but made it through.
Then had some big metallic thing that kept firing things at me to contend with, but managed, and picked up loads of treasure. By level 8 I was wondering when this dungeon was going to end. Stocked up on purple Pikmin from some flowers, and went down to level 9 to defeat (after a few attempts) a big metal spider with a laser. Erk. 45% of the way to repaying the debt now, which is the aim of the game.
Pikmin 2
I decided to go back to the Valley of Repose (the first level) today, now I'm armed with every type of Pikmin. Although I opened up a fairly large area (and killed another bodyless bird, and some other things), about 40 of my Pikmin got squished by a rock fired from a big baddie. Bah.
Sega Superstars
Waving my arms around in front of the TV is not something I generally do. Shout and swear at it, yes, but not pretend I'm actually part of a game by doing so. EXCEPT WAIT! I am part of the game! With the Eyetoy, you too can actually be in Virtua Fighter, Puyo Puyo, Super Monkey Ball and other Sega games. Almost.
Well, it was fun for a bit anyway. My arms hurt too. Some games work better than others:
Yes: Puyo Puyo, Samba de Amigo, House of the Dead
No: NiGHTS, Chu Chu Rocket, Crazy Taxi.
Anarchy Online
My Santa Hat and Suit are now off, and so it's back to the gimp garb. I gained a level today, so I'm on Level 8 now. Or 9. Or forget which. It isn't easy enough to level up, which is a pain, and there's nowhere to make easy money. I've gained four levels now, and still don't have enough money to buy a decent weapon. Bah. Anyway, I'm Chutney the Nanomage on Rimor if you want to find me.
Pikmin 2
So I found the blue Onion today, and merrily spent an hour racking up my Blue Army. Then proceeded to wander through one of the levels and kill no end of huge baddies, including one of those bird-head things. I have all the Pikmin colours now, but it does annoy me a little that you can't grow more white or purple ones, but instead have to find flowers and convert five or so other colours at a time.
